does anyone know when tribe chat will be out of the beta stage and available to all tribe users? lemme know.

Mon, December 19, 2005 - 2:45 PMthere's nothing actually preventing you from using tribe chat right now, accept for the fact that it isn't always up. TribeChat has been out there for a long time but you can only use it to chat with friends (at least, those are the only people who show up in your "Tribe Friends" list on your chat client). We had dreams of doing more cool stuff with it at some point, but have been distracted by other things lately... -

What's going to really stop you is that there are virtually no other tribesters currently logged in. At one point there was a thread here about 'whats your tribechat handle' ( hearmeout.tribe.net/thread/9...1c2701b07 ). -

I just heard back from customer support and supposedly Chat will be "coming soon". So, who knows when. Now I have a question for all of you...
I am not given the option to create a TribeChat handle on my profile (only yahoo, msn, aim, etc.)...basically there is no field to enter anything in beside "Tribe Chat". What to do??
