Wed, March 1, 2006 - 5:58 PMI would, but in my profile page, it does not give me the opportunity to use a Tribechat handle. Only MSN, AIM, Jabber, etc. I have Trillian Pro and can't figure out what the heck I'm doing wrong.

Tribechat uses jabber protocol...
Not too many IM programs use jabber... -

Under the Personal / Online section, the Tribechat is subdued and there is no dialog box to input a name. I setup Jabber per the instructions on this page, but.... nada. zip. -

Wed, March 8, 2006 - 8:13 AMI haven't seen anyone in my friends network show up on tribechat for awhile. Trillian isn't showing any errors and the purple "light" is lit showing it's logged into the jabber server. -

Wed, March 22, 2006 - 6:30 PMNo, and probably wouldn't after finding out it's just another chat program I could use anywhere else. I have Trillian (free), and log in to all four programs it supports at once.
Nott hat I chat too often, but I have to say, now that the mystery is solved for me of what Tribe chat is, I am not inspired to download yet *another* chat program, just to do what I can already do. It's not really "tribechat" it seems to me, just Jabber. It's like calling MSN "tribe chat". Calling it "tribe chat" makes it sound like an unique service, and surprise, it's not.
At first glance, my judegement is: Pass.
Anyone have any better thoughts for me?
