Proteus and Jabber?

Ok, I followed the instructions. I added mamagaea@maitai.tribe.net for Jabber. I have Proteus which is a Mac type IM client like Trillian, and it supports Jabber. However, when I added everything like the instructions said, when it tries to connect, it can't.

Am I doing something wrong?

    I was able to connect using proteus, with one small change. I had to go to Preferences -> Accounts and edit my account. On the "Account Options" page change the server from jabber.org to maitai.tribe.net. I'm not sure why initial setup didn't do the right thing, but there it is.

    I use Adium (which is a Mac app) for all my IMing needs.
